The article discusses international approaches to the identification, assessment and risk management of harmful and dangerous production factors in the context of increasing complexity of production processes and digitalization of labor. The relevance of the study is due to the need to systematize existing methods of occupational risk assessment and increase their comparability in occupational health and safety management practice. The purpose of the study is to systematize and comparatively analyze international approaches to the identification, assessment, and management of occupational risks. The research used methods of systematic and comparative analysis, classification, and generalization of scientific literature. The information base consists of international standards (ISO 31000, ISO 45001), International Labour Organization recommendations, World Health Organization (WHO) and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health materials, as well as modern scientific publications. As a result, occupational risk assessment methods were classified according to the level of methodological complexity as qualitative, semi-quantitative and quantitative. Although traditional methods are easy to use, they have limited accuracy, and modern approaches, including hybrid, provide high validity of the assessment. The trend towards the transition to integrated and digital risk management models has been revealed. The results obtained can be used in the development and improvement of occupational health and safety management systems.
