Abstract

This paper presents the results of industrial field testing of the RD-D1+ intelligent safety helmet system under real operating conditions at a mining enterprise. The research focuses on a digital personnel monitoring system comprising intelligent safety helmets equipped with GSM/GPRS communication modules, GPS/BeiDou navigation, integrated telemetry sensors, and a dispatch monitoring software platform. The objective of the study was to evaluate the operational performance, reliability, and functional efficiency of the system during routine production activities and to assess its potential for large-scale deployment at industrial facilities. The research methodology included system installation and configuration, device registration within the information platform, field testing of communication and navigation channels, analysis of telemetry and event data, and post-processing of the collected monitoring information. The field tests confirmed stable GSM/GPRS data transmission, reliable operation of the navigation subsystem with the expected reduction in positioning accuracy inside metal structures and enclosed areas, accurate event recording, and stable performance of the photo and video recording modules. The obtained results demonstrate that intelligent safety helmets can provide continuous personnel monitoring, improve occupational and industrial safety, support digital management of labor protection processes, and contribute to the digital transformation of industrial enterprises. The study concludes that the proposed intelligent safety helmet system has reached a sufficient level of technological readiness for deployment at mining, oil and gas, and other industrial facilities.
